We're on a mission to make scout event management simple, efficient, and actually enjoyable. Here's our story.
Why We Built This
It started with a simple frustration: trying to organize a district camp using generic event management software that just didn't get scouting.
We needed to handle patrol rotations, OSM integration, activity choices, medical information, and about a dozen other things that regular event platforms simply couldn't do well.
After one too many late nights wrestling with spreadsheets and trying to make square pegs fit round holes, we decided to build something better.
Scout Event Manager was born from the real needs of real scout events, designed by people who've been there, done that, and got the camp blanket.

2023Frustrated with generic event platforms that didn't understand scouting, our founder started building something better during long evenings after scout meetings.

Early 2025Scout Event Manager goes live with core features. First scout groups begin testing the platform with real events.

Who's Behind This
Scout Event Manager is built and maintained by Angus Mack, a software engineer and scout leader who got tired of wrestling with spreadsheets and generic event tools that didn't understand scouting.
The platform is shaped by feedback from real event organisers and active scouting volunteers who help drive the roadmap and test new features. Every improvement comes from someone who's actually stood in a field trying to work out which patrol is supposed to be at which activity.
